Before you go on vacation:
If you plan to use your debit card or Visa card, please call the Credit Union in advance. We will note your travel plans so that your transactions will go through smoothly while you are traveling. Also, be sure that we have an updated phone number on file in case we may need to contact you.

The credit union offers a variety of savings products. We have savings accounts for all level savers; young children, newly weds, young families, students, teens and retirees. All accounts are insured up to $250,000 by American Share Insurance. This institution is not federally insured.

CHECKING ACCOUNTS
The credit union offers both personal and business checking accounts. There are no monthly maintenance fees and you have 24 hours access to your accounts with the MAC and Master Card Debit Cards. And to make checking with the credit union even more economical the credit union made arrangements with Firstmerit Bank for our members to use their credit union MAC and Debit cards at any Firstmerit ATM machine fee free. As an extra bonus, members with a checking account with the credit union get discounts on new car loan rates, including specials.

The credit union is now part of a nationwide network of credit unions. This partnership willopen up over 2,600 credit union branches nationwide and abroad, to the members of Akron Firefighters Credit Union.
